I haven’t been in Manchester for quite 24 hours yet and I was already street harassed. The girl in front of me got cat called so I knew it was coming and I didn’t have another path I could walk without it being obvious I was avoiding them so I just kept going. The one guy made a comment how I didn’t have the X factor, which I smiled at (big mistake) because I thought it was a slightly funny remark, and then he called me a BGFI, meaning Blatantly Gagging For It, aka the British version of She Was Asking For It. So A+ Manchester, you’re off to a great start.

stop blaming the victim

Silence is not consent.

Me listening to some sexy music isn’t consent either.
